Private Jet Vence to Alexandria

A charter departing Nice Côte d’Azur, the principal gateway to the French Riviera and the airport most closely associated with Vence’s hillside villas, covers around 1,321 nautical miles on its way to Alexandria. This distance sits comfortably within the capability of mid-size jets, and the Challenger 350 stands out as a strong choice, offering a spacious cabin, respectable range margin and the kind of smooth, stable cruise that makes even a multi-hour sector feel unhurried. Typical cruise altitude for this crossing hovers around 45,000 feet, allowing the aircraft to clear most weather systems as it heads south-east over the Mediterranean towards the North African coast. Vence itself, perched above Nice with views towards the sea, provides a tranquil starting point before the short transfer to the airport and departure over the Riviera’s famous coastline. Arrival at Borg El Arab International Airport brings travellers to a city with a very different but equally compelling character. Alexandria’s cosmopolitan Mediterranean identity, forged over centuries of Greek, Roman, Ottoman and European influence, is still visible in its architecture and street life, while the nearby ruins and history surrounding El Alamein offer a sobering counterpoint for those interested in twentieth-century history as well as ancient. The Qaitbay Citadel, guarding the harbour entrance on the site of the ancient Pharos lighthouse, remains an essential landmark for first-time visitors. This route appeals particularly to travellers already based on the Riviera for the summer season who wish to extend their Mediterranean exploration further east and south, swapping the polished glamour of the Côte d’Azur for Alexandria’s older, more textured cosmopolitanism. The relatively short flight time makes it an easy addition to a longer regional itinerary rather than a journey requiring dedicated planning.
