Private Jet Timphou to Canyon Point

Thimphu to Canyon Point covers around 6,752 nautical miles, one of the more unusual long-haul sectors served by The Jet Collection given Bhutan’s mountainous terrain and limited commercial connectivity. An ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Bombardier Global 7500 or Gulfstream G650ER is well suited to the route, offering both the range for the crossing and cruising altitudes up to roughly 45,000 feet that keep the aircraft above much of the weather encountered over the Himalayas and beyond. Paro International Airport, one of the most challenging airports in the world to operate from given its mountain-ringed valley location, requires specially qualified crews, a detail that underscores the value of experienced private charter operators for this particular departure. Arrival at Page Municipal Airport brings an entirely different topography into view: broad, open desert cut through by deep sandstone canyons rather than Bhutan’s forested peaks. Lake Powell lies a short drive from the runway, its marinas supporting houseboat rentals throughout the warmer months, while Antelope Canyon’s famous light beams remain a major draw for visiting photographers. The Glen Canyon Dam overlooks the Colorado River just outside town, forming one of the defining engineering features of the American Southwest. This route suits travellers combining a Bhutanese cultural itinerary with an American Southwest leg, or those simply drawn to the logistics of linking two remote, scenically distinct regions directly, without the multiple connections a commercial routing between Paro and Page would otherwise demand. The high desert surrounding Page also offers some of the clearest night skies in the country, a detail that resonates with the same appreciation for dramatic, unspoiled landscape that draws visitors to Bhutan in the first place.
