Private Jet Basel to Horseshoe Bay Resort

Basel to Horseshoe Bay Resort spans roughly 4,568 nautical miles, connecting the Swiss city on the Rhine, and hub of the pharmaceutical industry, with the golf resorts of the Texas Hill Country. Departing EuroAirport, which serves Basel, Mulhouse and Freiburg from a single field, a Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500 handles the crossing, cruising at up to 51,000 feet for a flight time of around eight and a half hours across the Atlantic and the American South. Business travellers leaving Basel’s pharmaceutical and chemical industry headquarters settle into a long haul cabin before arriving at an entirely different setting at Horseshoe Bay, where three championship golf courses and a full service marina trace the shoreline of Lake LBJ. The surrounding Hill Country, with its wine region near Fredericksburg and the swimming holes of the Pedernales River, gives Basel visitors a warm weather outdoor programme distinct from the Rhine valley they leave behind. This route is used by Swiss and broader European executives with business interests in Texas, particularly given Basel’s role as a major centre for life sciences companies with growing American operations, avoiding the multiple connections a commercial itinerary through a major hub would otherwise require. Given the specialised ultra long range aircraft required, operators generally recommend booking this sector at least a week ahead, and many business travellers on this route combine the golf trip with meetings at one of the growing number of life sciences and technology firms now based in and around Austin. Guests with an interest in the Hill Country’s own agricultural heritage sometimes extend their stay with a visit to one of the smaller family owned wineries near Fredericksburg, a pastime that translates naturally for visitors accustomed to Switzerland’s own wine growing regions along the Rhine.
