Private Jet Vence to Newark

Vence, the hilltop town above the French Riviera, lies roughly 3,467 nautical miles from Newark, a transatlantic distance suited to a heavy or ultra-long-range jet. A Gulfstream G550 or G650ER handles the roughly six-and-three-quarter-hour crossing comfortably, cruising near 45,000 feet across the North Atlantic. Departures use Nice Côte d’Azur, the Riviera’s principal gateway and one of the busiest private aviation airports in Europe, reflecting the region’s enduring appeal to international travellers. Arrival into Newark Liberty International places passengers close to Manhattan, connecting the art and culture of the French Riviera’s hill towns with the New York metropolitan area. Demand on this corridor is strongly seasonal, peaking through the summer months when the Riviera’s coastline and hinterland draw their largest international crowds, and again around the region’s art and film events held throughout the year. Vence itself, known for its Matisse-designed chapel and its long association with twentieth-century artists, appeals particularly to cultural travellers seeking a quieter alternative to the busier coastal resorts nearby. Given the length of the crossing, most itineraries build a full day into travel plans in either direction, with the heavy and ultra-long-range cabin categories flown here offering the comfort suited to a transatlantic journey connecting two of the world’s most storied luxury destinations. The town’s medieval ramparts and cobbled lanes give visitors an intimate contrast to the busier coastal resorts of Nice and Cannes just a short drive away, and its long association with painters and sculptors continues to draw an art-focused clientele. Nearby Saint-Paul-de-Vence adds a further gallery-lined hill town to explore, extending the region’s appeal for travellers drawn to its long artistic legacy.
