Private Jet Revelstoke to Gilbert

The Revelstoke to Gilbert sector covers 1,104 nautical miles, a distance well suited to light and mid-size jets, with a Citation CJ4 or Challenger 350 completing the crossing in around two and a half hours, climbing well above the peaks of the Selkirk and Monashee ranges that surround the departure point before tracking south into the American Southwest. Flights leave from Revelstoke Airport in British Columbia’s interior, a field serving one of Canada’s premier ski and mountain biking destinations, known among private operators for its dramatic surrounding terrain and correspondingly careful approach and departure procedures. Gilbert, at the southern end of the journey, presents an entirely different environment: a low desert Arizona suburb built from former hay and alfalfa fields, now home to sprawling family neighbourhoods, extensive golf facilities and a fast-growing semiconductor and technology sector. Arrivals use Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, a former military field offering considerably faster handling than the region’s main commercial hub. This route suits Canadian mountain-resort residents and outdoor recreation businesses with seasonal interests in the Arizona desert, as well as travellers combining a Rocky Mountain retreat with Southwest business or leisure. Given the mountainous terrain crossed early in the flight, careful weather planning is a routine part of operating this sector, and the mid-size jet’s climb performance and cabin pressurisation make it a sound choice for passengers accustomed to alpine conditions at one end and desert heat at the other end of a genuinely varied itinerary. Given Revelstoke’s limited scheduled air service, private charter remains by far the most practical way to connect the resort town directly with business or leisure destinations in the American Southwest.
