Private Jet Capri to McKinney

Capri Heliport, perched above the Marina Grande on an island with no fixed-wing runway, means the journey to McKinney National Airport begins not with a jet but with an Airbus H130 or similar helicopter, a short and scenic transfer across the Bay of Naples to Naples International Airport where a long-range jet takes over for the roughly 4,962 nautical mile crossing to Texas. A Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500 is the natural choice for that onward leg, cruising near 45,000 to 51,000 feet with a cabin built for genuine rest across a flight that typically runs nine to ten hours once airborne from the mainland. This two-stage arrangement, helicopter to jet, is simply how Capri is done privately, and it spares travellers the alternative of a slow ferry crossing and a road transfer to a larger airport. McKinney National Airport, a general-aviation field in Collin County roughly thirty miles north of downtown Dallas, offers arriving guests a quieter, faster clearance than the region’s larger commercial gateways, and sits within easy reach of the corporate campuses that have expanded steadily across the Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs in recent years. The town’s preserved historic square, its nineteenth-century storefronts still the centre of local life, gives visitors a genuine sense of place quite unlike the cliffside glamour of Capri itself. This route suits villa owners and travellers who value the theatre of departing by helicopter from one of the Mediterranean’s most photographed islands, paired with the discretion and comfort of a private long-range crossing rather than the queues and connections a commercial itinerary from Naples would otherwise involve. The Bay of Naples itself, ringed by Vesuvius and the Sorrentine peninsula, gives the helicopter transfer a scenic quality rarely matched elsewhere in Europe, and operators experienced with this specific two-stage routing can typically coordinate both legs so the connection at Naples adds only a short wait rather than a lengthy layover.
