Private Jet Berry Islands to Frisco

The short hop from Great Harbour Cay in the Berry Islands to Frisco covers around 1,095 nautical miles, a distance that keeps this route firmly within light jet and turboprop territory. A Phenom 300 or Citation CJ4 suits the leg well, while a Pilatus PC-12 remains a popular alternative for parties happy to trade a little speed for the turboprop’s shorter-field capability, a relevant factor given Great Harbour Cay Airport’s modest runway. From take-off, the aircraft climbs quickly over the shallow turquoise banks the Berry Islands are known for before setting a course across the Gulf of Mexico toward Texas, typically levelling off in the mid-30,000s to low-40,000s depending on aircraft type. Around two and a quarter hours later, passengers land at McKinney National Airport, close to Frisco’s rapidly built-out retail and entertainment districts, a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex that has grown from open prairie into one of the country’s more closely watched suburban success stories within a generation. Cabins on the light jets and turboprops flown here are compact but well appointed, generally seating six to nine with enclosed lavatories on the jet options, adequate for a journey of this length without feeling cramped. This route particularly suits owners of the private homes scattered across the Berry Islands, who value the combination of a short taxi to the aircraft and a direct link back to Texas, sidestepping the multi-stop routing that commercial options out of this part of the Bahamas would otherwise involve. The shallow, clear water surrounding Great Harbour Cay also makes it a popular staging point for onward boat travel through the wider Berry Islands chain.
