Private Jet Basseterre to Tacoma

Basseterre to Tacoma covers approximately 3,424 nautical miles, a distance matched well to a super mid-size jet such as a Challenger 350 or Citation Longitude, both capable of the crossing with sufficient fuel reserve at cruising altitudes up to 45,000 feet. Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, serving St Kitts, offers a relaxed and efficient departure point, a welcome contrast to the more congested gateways further along the Caribbean chain. Tacoma, at the American end of this journey, could hardly present a greater contrast: a Puget Sound port city framed by Mount Rainier, its downtown built around the restored Union Station rotunda and the Museum of Glass, whose hot shop demonstrations remain a highlight for first-time visitors. Point Defiance Park’s five-mile shoreline drive offers an easy way to stretch one’s legs after a long flight. This crossing generally runs close to scheduled block time outside of hurricane season, when departure planning out of St Kitts may require minor adjustment, and cruising at altitudes up to 45,000 feet keeps the flight above most weather systems affecting the wider Caribbean and continental United States. This pairing suits Caribbean-based business and property interests with connections to the Pacific Northwest, as well as leisure travellers looking to combine an island stay with the very different mountain, water and glass-art character that defines a visit to Tacoma. St Kitts remains a popular winter base for yacht owners and second-home holders, and many charter itineraries on this route are arranged to coincide with the Caribbean sailing season before continuing on toward the American mainland.
