Private Jet Vence to Vancouver

Vence, the hill town above the French Riviera best known for the Chapelle du Rosaire that Matisse designed in his final years, sits 4,814 nautical miles from Vancouver, Washington, a distance comfortably suited to a heavy business jet. The Gulfstream G550 has long handled sectors of this length reliably, and operators pairing the route with a Gulfstream G650ER can offer even greater range margin along with a quieter, more spacious cabin for the roughly ten-hour crossing, cruising at altitudes up to 45,000 feet to stay above the weather systems typical of a North Atlantic and Canadian routing, and settling into a smooth, quiet cruise well before the Riviera coastline disappears from view behind the aircraft. Flights depart from Nice Cote d’Azur Airport, serving the glamour of the French Riviera and the perfume terraces and hilltop villages that lie just behind its beaches, with Vence itself a short drive above Saint-Paul-de-Vence and the coastal towns of Cannes and Antibes. Arrival is at Pearson Field, one of the oldest continuously operating airfields in the United States, set on the Columbia River directly across from Portland, Oregon, with Mount Hood and the Cascade Range framing the approach. Portland’s wine country in the Willamette Valley, the dramatic scenery of the Columbia River Gorge, and the city’s technology and aerospace industries all sit within easy reach of the runway, giving arriving guests an immediate contrast to the Riviera left behind. This route suits travellers who appreciate Vence’s blend of artistic heritage and Riviera calm and want a similarly private, unhurried way to reach the Pacific Northwest, avoiding the multiple connections a commercial itinerary out of Nice would otherwise involve, and arriving within a short transfer of Portland’s own centre.
