Private Jet Amalfi to Oxnard

At approximately 5,640 nautical miles, the crossing from Amalfi to Oxnard sits well within the range of an ultra-long-range jet such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500, both able to fly the sector nonstop from Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport or nearby Naples International Airport in around ten and three quarter hours. Cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet for long stretches of the journey, these aircraft ride above most of the weather and traffic encountered by airliners flying lower, a meaningful advantage on a sector of this length. Oxnard, on arrival, offers a markedly different coastline to the Amalfi Coast’s cliffside villages and lemon terraces: a flatter, more agricultural stretch of Ventura County shoreline, with Channel Islands Harbor serving as the main departure point for boat trips into Channel Islands National Park. The Oxnard Plain remains heavily farmed, strawberries and lemons grown almost to the beach, echoing in a modest way the citrus groves left behind on the Italian coast, and the city’s beaches draw local surfers rather than the crowds of Positano or Capri. Santa Barbara’s wine country lies within an hour’s drive. This route is often flown by Italian business travellers in fashion, hospitality and finance, as well as Americans concluding an Amalfi Coast holiday before returning to business in Southern California. Given the considerable distance and the shift across nine time zones, most travellers build in a day to recover before meetings or further sightseeing resume on the Pacific side of the journey. Many travellers on this route treat it as the closing leg of a longer Mediterranean holiday rather than a standalone business trip, which makes the extra rest easier to justify.
