Private Jet Palm Springs to Akron

Palm Springs sits in a valley ringed by mountains that trap the desert heat, and the 1,712-nautical-mile route to Akron is typically flown by a heavy jet such as a Gulfstream G450, whose strong hot-and-high performance makes a confident, fully loaded departure straightforward even on the warmest afternoon, before settling into a cruise in the mid-forties for the roughly three-and-a-half-hour flight northeast. Departures use Palm Springs International Airport, serving the Coachella Valley’s resort and retirement communities as well as the festival crowds that descend each spring. Arrival into Akron-Canton Airport brings travellers within reach of Chapel Hill Mall, one of Ohio’s first fully enclosed shopping centres when it opened in 1967, as well as Brandywine Falls, a 65-foot cascade tucked into Cuyahoga Valley National Park that remains one of the region’s most photographed natural landmarks. This route suits real estate, hospitality and retirement-community executives connecting the Coachella Valley with business interests in Ohio, as well as seasonal travellers shuttling between a desert winter base and a Midwest home for the rest of the year. The heavy jet’s dependable performance out of Palm Springs removes any uncertainty about a fully loaded departure, while its spacious cabin makes the three-and-a-half-hour crossing a comfortable one rather than simply a necessary stretch of the journey between two very different American landscapes. For the growing community of retirees and second-home owners who split their year between the two regions, a direct charter also avoids the long connection through Los Angeles or Phoenix that a scheduled itinerary would typically add to the journey.
