Private Jet St Moritz to Bucharest

St Moritz and Bucharest are separated by 695 nautical miles, a sector well suited to a Citation CJ4 or Phenom 300, both completing the crossing in around an hour and a half once clear of the surrounding Engadin peaks and cruising in the low-to-mid 40,000s. Given the altitude and terrain around the departure field, a light jet with strong short-field performance is generally preferred over larger, less agile types. Engadin Airport, one of the highest commercial fields in Europe, serves the departure, its dramatic mountain setting a memorable start to any journey and a field well practised in handling St Moritz’s considerable winter season traffic. Arrival into Henri Coandă International Airport places passengers in Bucharest within roughly ninety minutes, trading the frozen lakes and glacial peaks of the Engadin valley for the grand boulevards and Orthodox architecture of Romania’s capital. The Stavropoleos Church, one of the city’s finest examples of Brancovenesc carving, sits a short walk from the restored Lipscani quarter, now filled with wine bars and independent restaurants. The Carpathian mountains, within comfortable reach of Bucharest, offer a rather different but genuinely compelling alternative to the polish of St Moritz’s own slopes. Given the short duration, cabin service is necessarily brief, though passengers retain a smooth, quiet ride and full connectivity throughout. This route suits St Moritz’s winter season visitors and financiers extending their trip into South-Eastern Europe. The Segantini Museum, dedicated to the Alpine landscapes that drew painters to the Engadin over a century ago, offers a worthwhile stop for travellers with time before their onward departure.
