Dubrovnik Airport (DBV), officially Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport and also known as Čilipi Airport, lies near the village of Čilipi, about 15.5 km south-east of Dubrovnik’s old town. It has a single concrete and asphalt runway, 11/29, measuring 3,300 metres (10,827 feet), and sits at an elevation of 527 feet (161 metres) at coordinates 42.5614° N, 18.2683° E.
The long runway accepts every category of private aircraft, from light jets to long-range and VIP airliners, which makes Dubrovnik one of the most flexible airports on the southern Adriatic. Traffic is strongly seasonal: monthly passenger numbers rise from around 20,000 in January to more than 540,000 in July and August, when scheduled carriers add many seasonal routes. Private flights in the summer months therefore benefit from early planning of arrival times and parking. The airport serves the old town, Cavtat, the Elaphiti Islands and yacht departures from Dubrovnik’s marinas, and it is about an hour by road from Tivat and the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. The Jet Collection arranges flights into Čilipi with ground handling, customs clearance and transfers to the city, a hotel or a waiting yacht.
