Nantes Atlantique Airport (NTE) is located in Bouguenais, about 8 km south-west of Nantes, in the Loire-Atlantique département of western France. It has one runway, 03/21, measuring 2,900 metres (9,514 feet) with an asphalt concrete surface, and sits at an elevation of 90 feet (27 metres) at coordinates 47.1569° N, 1.6078° W. The runway accepts every category of business jet. A long-planned replacement airport at Notre-Dame-des-Landes was cancelled in January 2018, and Nantes Atlantique remains the region’s main airport.
The airport shares its site with a major Airbus plant, so a large share of business traffic is linked to aerospace, as well as to the shipyards at Saint-Nazaire about 50 km to the west. The centre of Nantes is around 20 minutes away by car. Nantes Atlantique also serves leisure trips to La Baule, Pornic and the Vendée coast, and to the Muscadet vineyards south-east of the city, with traffic rising in summer. Flights from Paris take around an hour, and from London around an hour and a quarter. The Jet Collection arranges aircraft into Nantes Atlantique with handling and cars to the city, the industrial sites or the coast.
