Antwerp is a city of trade. Its port, operated jointly with Zeebrugge, is the second largest in Europe and anchors the largest integrated chemical cluster on the continent. The diamond district around the Central Station has handled a large part of the world’s rough and polished diamonds for generations, and the city is a base for logistics companies, traders and private banks. Brussels and its European institutions are about 45 minutes by road. Antwerp has a cultural side too: the Rubens House, the MAS museum on the docks, the Cathedral of Our Lady and a fashion scene shaped by the designers of the Antwerp Academy, with good restaurants in the Zuid and Het Eilandje quarters.
A private flight puts you closer to the city than any airline route. Antwerp International Airport (ANR) lies in Deurne, about 5 km from the city centre, and is home to business jet operators, maintenance workshops and hangars for private aircraft. Its short runway favours light and midsize jets; larger cabins usually use Brussels Airport, south of the city. From the aircraft, the diamond district and the port offices are only minutes away by car. Flight times are under 1 hour from London, around 55 minutes from Paris and about 1 hour 30 minutes from Geneva. The Jet Collection checks the right aircraft for Antwerp’s runway, then arranges the handling and the short drive into town.
