Entebbe sits on a peninsula on the northern shore of Lake Victoria and serves as Uganda’s international gateway, about 40 km from the capital, Kampala. Entebbe International Airport is the arrival point for private flights into the country, whether for business in Kampala or for safari itineraries. From here, light aircraft and helicopters continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla trekking, to Murchison Falls and to Queen Elizabeth National Park, turning a multi-day overland journey into a short transfer. Private jets also connect Entebbe directly with Nairobi, Kigali, Dubai and Europe, with handling and immigration arranged ahead of arrival.
