Park City is a former silver-mining town in Utah’s Wasatch Range, now one of the busiest ski destinations in North America. Park City Mountain is among the largest ski areas in the United States, and Deer Valley, a skiers-only resort known for its groomed runs and service, is in the middle of a major expansion towards Jordanelle Reservoir. Historic Main Street holds restaurants and galleries, and the hotels at Empire Pass are a short ride from the lifts. For decades the Sundance Film Festival brought the film industry here each January; the festival moves to Boulder, Colorado, from 2027, while Park City is set to host events at the 2034 Winter Olympics in Utah.
Private jets fly into Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), about 35 miles (56 km) west, with the drive up Parleys Canyon on Interstate 80 taking around 40 minutes in good conditions. Business aircraft are handled away from the main airline terminal, so passengers can be on the road within minutes of landing. That convenience is the main reason to fly privately here: a long ski weekend becomes realistic from much of the West, and even from the East Coast. Flight times are around 1 hour 45 minutes from Los Angeles, about 1 hour 15 minutes from Denver and roughly 4 hours 15 minutes from New York. The Jet Collection handles the aircraft, the ground handling at Salt Lake City and a car with ski racks for the canyon road.
