Private Jet Alicante to Huntington Beach

Alicante-Elche Airport, serving Spain’s Costa Blanca, is the departure point for a particularly long sector to Huntington Beach, covering some 5,266 nautical miles and placing it among the handful of ultra-long-range routes operated from this part of the Mediterranean coast. The Gulfstream G650ER and Bombardier Global 7500 are the aircraft typically suited to a crossing of this length, both capable of flying the full distance non-stop while cruising at altitudes approaching 45,000 feet for much of the journey, a height that keeps the cabin well above most commercial traffic and much of the Atlantic’s weather. Alicante itself, with its palm-lined Explanada and the hilltop Santa Barbara Castle overlooking the bay, is more commonly associated with Mediterranean holidaymaking than with transcontinental private aviation, though its airport is well accustomed to handling a wide range of aircraft types. The flight, typically running close to ten hours, crosses the Atlantic before traversing the full width of North America, arriving on the Pacific side of Orange County. Huntington Beach greets passengers with its wide beaches, the landmark pier at its centre and a surf-focused culture reinforced each year by the US Open of Surfing. The city’s Main Street corridor offers an easy walk from hotel to shoreline, while Pacific Coast Highway provides a scenic route towards Newport Beach and Laguna Beach for those extending their stay. Given the aircraft category required and the length of the sector, this route generally appeals to passengers for whom a single non-stop private crossing, free of connections and airline scheduling, justifies the cost: owners of Costa Blanca properties maintaining a parallel base in Southern California, or business travellers whose interests span both the eastern and western extremes of this particular great-circle path across the Atlantic and the continent beyond it.
