Private Jet Berry Islands to Punta Mita

Berry Islands to Punta Mita, departing Great Harbour Cay Airport, covers approximately 1,555 nautical miles, a sector well matched to a Light Jet or Mid-Size Jet such as the Citation CJ4, both handling the crossing in around three hours while cruising near 43,000 feet. Great Harbour Cay’s small, uncongested airstrip serves one of the Bahamas’ quieter island communities, known more for its private fishing lodges and low-key residential development than the resort density found further south in the archipelago. Arrival into Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport brings Punta Mita’s resort peninsula within a short coastal transfer, offering Berry Islands travellers a considerably different Pacific counterpart, trading the flats-fishing culture of the northern Bahamas for Punta Mita’s deep-water sportfishing fleet and championship golf courses. The Berry Islands’ relatively undeveloped character has long attracted a specific type of owner, one who values privacy and access to good fishing over resort infrastructure, and this same sensibility often extends to their choice of Punta Mita as a Pacific counterpart. A Light Jet or Mid-Size cabin offers a proper enclosed lavatory and light catering, entirely sufficient for a flight of just three hours, with hold space suited to fishing tackle as readily as golf equipment. This route suits sportfishing enthusiasts and owners of quieter island property seeking an equally understated Pacific alternative. Given Great Harbour Cay’s modest facilities, travellers are advised to confirm fuel availability and customs handling hours ahead of departure, a detail seasoned Bahamas operators typically manage as a matter of routine. A short scenic detour along the Riviera Nayarit coastline is sometimes arranged on approach, weather permitting, giving arriving guests an early look at the surf breaks and headlands that make Punta Mita such a distinctive Pacific counterpart to the quiet Berry Islands.
