Private Jet Beverly to Des Moines

Some 1,017 nautical miles separate Beverly, on Massachusetts’ North Shore, from Des Moines, a route that trades the rocky Atlantic coastline of Essex County for the open plains of Iowa in a little over two hours. Beverly Regional Airport serves a well-heeled corridor north of Boston, popular with executives who would rather avoid the congestion around Logan International, and its proximity to towns like Marblehead and Salem gives departing passengers easy access to some of New England’s most storied coastline before they ever reach the ramp. A Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280 suits this stage well, cruising near 43,000 feet and generally completing the crossing of the Appalachians and Midwest in around two hours and fifteen minutes, comfortable margin above the convective weather that can build over Ohio and Illinois on summer afternoons. Des Moines International Airport brings arrivals close to the Pappajohn Sculpture Park and the Des Moines Art Center, a pairing that has helped the city build a modern art reputation well beyond what its size might suggest. Financial services executives moving between Boston-area firms and Des Moines’ own concentration of insurance and asset management companies account for much of this route’s traffic, a natural fit given how closely the two industries overlap. Families with ties to both New England’s coast and the Midwest also use the route for holidays and reunions, valuing the ability to avoid Logan’s congestion entirely by departing instead from Beverly’s quieter, more convenient field. Return flights often carry Iowa families toward Cape Ann and the historic town of Salem for a change of scenery, a short but complete trip that would be far less practical by any means other than a private departure timed to their own schedule.
