Private Jet Bodrum to Port Louis

Milas-Bodrum Airport, serving Turkey’s Aegean coast, opens onto a 3,842-nautical-mile route to Port Louis, a flight of about seven and a quarter hours suited to a heavy business jet such as a Gulfstream G550, cruising near 45,000 feet across the eastern Mediterranean, the Arabian Peninsula and the western Indian Ocean. Bodrum’s marina culture and whitewashed hillside towns make it one of the busiest private aviation departure points along the Turkish Riviera through the summer months. Arrival into Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport connects passengers to Port Louis and, further along the coast, resorts set against volcanic hills and coral lagoons quite different from the Aegean’s rocky coves. Mauritius’s mix of French, Indian, African and Chinese heritage offers a cultural counterpoint to Bodrum’s own blend of ancient Anatolian history and modern Mediterranean leisure. This sector suits Turkish and international travellers extending an Aegean summer with an Indian Ocean stay later in the season, yacht-owning guests repositioning between the Mediterranean and East Africa cruising calendars, and charter operators serving one of the busier seasonal corridors out of Bodrum. At just over seven hours, the flight is manageable as a single well-timed daytime or evening departure, arriving in Mauritius the following morning ready for the beach. Many owners flying this route treat it as the closing leg of a longer Mediterranean season, trading the marina at Bodrum for a very different mooring altogether. That change of pace, more than the flight time itself, tends to be the deciding factor for most travellers on this sector.
