Private Jet Bora Bora to Jersey City

At around 5,510 nautical miles, the Bora Bora to Jersey City route is a substantial Pacific crossing best suited to an ultra-long-range jet such as the Gulfstream G650ER, which can cruise near 51,000 feet for much of the flight and, depending on payload and winds, cover a significant share of the distance in a single leg. Fa’a’ā International Airport, on the nearby island of Tahiti, serves as the practical departure point for Bora Bora’s overwater bungalows and lagoon resorts, a short interisland hop from the island itself and a gateway used almost exclusively by leisure travellers and honeymooners drawn to French Polynesia’s turquoise waters. The routing from Tahiti typically tracks north-east across the Pacific and the American continent before descending into Newark Liberty International Airport on the eastern seaboard. Jersey City on arrival offers about as complete a change of scenery as this collection contains: a dense, glass-fronted waterfront skyline at Exchange Place rather than a lagoon, connected to Manhattan by the PATH train, with Liberty State Park’s harbour views of the Statue of Liberty replacing Bora Bora’s Mount Otemanu as the defining backdrop. This route is used almost exclusively by leisure travellers closing out an extended Pacific holiday with a direct return to East Coast business or family commitments, a group for whom the alternative of connecting through Los Angeles or another West Coast gateway on commercial service would add a full additional day of travel and at least one overnight stop to the itinerary. For a couple closing out a Polynesian honeymoon, the appeal lies less in the schedule than in simply not having to think about connections at all after a fortnight spent barefoot on a lagoon.
