Private Jet Buenos Aires to Canyon Point

The route from Buenos Aires to Canyon Point runs to roughly 5,290 nautical miles, a distance comfortably handled by an ultra-long-range jet such as a Bombardier Global 7500 or Gulfstream G650ER, both able to fly the sector non-stop while cruising as high as 51,000 feet, well above the weather systems that can affect the Central American and Mexican portions of the routing. Ezeiza International Airport, Argentina’s principal gateway, is well set up for private charter departures, and crews typically plan the flight to take advantage of favourable winds for as much of the crossing as possible. Canyon Point is reached via Page Municipal Airport, a small field in the high desert of northern Arizona, close to Lake Powell, the reservoir created by Glen Canyon Dam in the 1960s. The lake’s near 2,000 miles of sandstone shoreline make it one of the finest houseboating destinations in the country, its side canyons offering both quiet water and dramatic scenery. A short drive from the airport, Antelope Canyon’s glowing slot passages and Horseshoe Bend’s sweeping river overlook remain two of the most photographed sites in the American Southwest, while the Vermilion Cliffs and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon lie within reach for those staying longer. For travellers making the journey from Buenos Aires, arriving privately into Page removes the lengthy connecting drive that a commercial routing through Phoenix or Las Vegas would otherwise demand. Those with extra time on the ground often continue on from Page to the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, or west to the striking red rock landscape surrounding Sedona.
