Private Jet Capri to Grand Rapids

Capri and Grand Rapids lie roughly 4,189 nautical miles apart, a distance well matched to a heavy-category jet. A Gulfstream G550 is well suited to this roughly eight-hour transatlantic crossing, with reserves to spare for the journey between the Bay of Naples and the American Midwest. Cruising above 43,000 feet keeps the aircraft comfortably above most weather over the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Departures use Capri’s own heliport, a unique point of access to an island with no fixed-wing airfield of its own, typically paired with a helicopter transfer from Naples or Rome. Capri’s limestone cliffs, the Blue Grotto and the glamorous piazzas of Capri town have made it one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic island destinations, drawing visitors since Roman times and remaining a favourite of international travellers today. Grand Rapids presents an altogether different character on arrival, a Midwestern American city built on furniture manufacturing and now known for craft brewing and the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. Arrivals land at Gerald R. Ford International Airport. This route suits travellers returning from an Italian island escape to business or family life in Michigan, for whom the combination of a helicopter transfer and private jet removes the lengthy ferry and connection times that reaching Capri from the United States would otherwise involve. Capri’s Gardens of Augustus, with their panoramic views over the Faraglioni rock formations, remain one of the island’s most photographed spots and a highlight for first-time visitors exploring on foot. The island’s Faraglioni sea stacks, rising dramatically from the water just offshore, remain one of the most recognisable natural landmarks anywhere in the Mediterranean.
