Private Jet Capri to Lexington

Capri to Lexington spans roughly 4328 nautical miles, a transatlantic distance that calls for a heavy jet such as the Gulfstream G550 or Global 6000. Cruising at altitudes up to 45,000 feet, the crossing takes around eight hours, with a technical stop occasionally useful depending on payload and winds encountered along the North Atlantic routing. Departing Capri Heliport, the island’s landing point for helicopters connecting to Naples or nearby airports for the onward jet segment, most journeys begin with a short rotor transfer before continuing on a fixed-wing aircraft equipped for the long transatlantic leg. The full galley and rest area aboard a heavy jet suit a mission of this length well, allowing passengers to relax after the initial island transfer before the long overnight or daytime crossing. Arrival is into Blue Grass Airport, a short distance from downtown Lexington and the thoroughbred farms that surround it. Capri’s dramatic cliffs and Mediterranean glamour give way, on arrival, to Kentucky’s quieter bluegrass pastures, home to Keeneland Race Course and its internationally significant spring and autumn racing meets and bloodstock sales, along with the Kentucky Horse Park nearby. A short drive from the airport brings visitors to the bourbon trail, home to distilleries such as Woodford Reserve. This route suits Italian and wider European travellers splitting summers between the Amalfi coast and Kentucky business or racing interests, for whom the combined helicopter and jet routing keeps the overall journey as efficient as the island’s geography allows. Coordinating the helicopter transfer with the onward jet’s slot at the mainland airport is the main scheduling consideration on this route, something an experienced operator manages seamlessly for a smooth handover between the two legs.
