Private Jet Capri to Palawan

Few Mediterranean departure points set the scene for a long-haul crossing quite like Capri, and the journey onward to Palawan spans some 5,675 nautical miles, among the longest city pairs in the network. Given the distance, this is firmly Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500 territory, aircraft built to clear the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal in a single leg while cruising at altitudes approaching 45,000 feet, above the weather and most commercial traffic, with cabins pressurised for genuine rest across a flight of well over eleven hours. Departure is from Capri Heliport, the small pad perched above the Marina Grande, from which helicopter transfer typically links guests to a mainland jet base for the long-range sector, since the island itself has no runway suited to aircraft of this class. Puerto Princesa International Airport, on the eastern coast of Palawan, receives the aircraft into a province regularly named among the world’s finest island destinations by international travel publications. Beyond the airport, Palawan’s draw lies in its extraordinary natural variety: the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where an underground waterway winds for kilometres through limestone caverns, and further north the limestone islets and hidden lagoons of the Bacuit archipelago near El Nido. Closer to town, Honda Bay offers easy island-hopping among coral gardens, while Iwahig’s mangrove-lined rivers host nightly firefly displays. This is a route best suited to travellers planning an extended stay rather than a brief stopover, given the flight time involved, and it rewards those willing to trade proximity for one of Southeast Asia’s most unspoilt corners, where rainforest, reef and karst coastline remain remarkably undeveloped even by regional standards.
