Private Jet Charleston, SC to Krasnoyarsk

Charleston to Krasnoyarsk covers 5,466 nautical miles, with the shortest track running north-east then north-west over eastern Canada, Greenland and the Arctic before descending into central Siberia. The sector calls for an ultra-long-range aircraft, and a Gulfstream G650ER or a Global 7500 will complete it nonstop with reserves intact, cruising in the mid-forties and stepping towards 51,000 feet as the fuel load reduces. High latitude routings of this kind are planned with particular care: fuel freeze point is monitored throughout, communications rely on satellite and high frequency coverage, and diversion aerodromes across Greenland and the Canadian Arctic are nominated before the aircraft departs. Across a flight of some ten and a half hours the low cabin altitude and full berths of these types make a marked difference to arrival condition. Departures are arranged at Charleston International Airport, a joint civil and military field a short drive north-west of the historic peninsula, with established private handling and a runway well suited to a departure at maximum fuel. Krasnoyarsk is reached at Yemelyanovo International Airport, twenty-seven kilometres from the centre. The city is the administrative capital of Krasnoyarsk Krai, a territory that reaches from the Sayan mountains to the Arctic Ocean and contains the Putorana Plateau, a basalt wilderness listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Krasnoyarsk stands on the Yenisei and has been the commercial anchor of central Siberia since the Trans-Siberian Railway arrived in the 1890s. The route suits industrial, port and logistics executives with Russian interests, along with private travellers for whom two scheduled connections and more than a day of travel are impractical.
