Private Jet Davos to Chattanooga

Davos sits high in the Graubünden Alps, and the 4,110-nautical-mile journey onward to Chattanooga is one of the longer sectors flown from the region. Most parties position through Zurich Kloten Airport for an aircraft with the range this crossing demands, though the smaller Engadin Airport near St Moritz, or a helicopter transfer, can bring travellers within easy reach of Davos itself. A Gulfstream G650ER handles the transatlantic leg comfortably, cruising at altitudes up to 51,000 feet for a flight of around eight hours, its cabin built for the kind of sustained comfort a journey of this length requires. Leaving the World Economic Forum’s mountain backdrop behind, travellers descend instead over the Tennessee River as it curls past a downtown rebuilt around walking paths, breweries and the Tennessee Aquarium. Lookout Mountain, its caverns feeding Ruby Falls and its summit linked to the valley floor by one of the steepest passenger railways in the world, offers a different kind of elevated view to anything the Alps provide, on a notably gentler scale. The sandstone bluffs beyond the city have also built a genuine reputation among climbers, a modest echo of the alpine routes many Davos visitors already know well. This route suits delegates and business travellers extending a Swiss Alpine trip into the American Southeast, as well as those simply after a complete change of altitude and climate. Given the distance and the typical six-hour time difference, most operators build a rest period into the schedule either side of the Atlantic crossing.
