Private Jet Exumas to Rochester

The Exumas to Rochester sector spans roughly 1,182 nautical miles, well within range of a light jet, with a Citation CJ4 or Citation Latitude suited to the distance and typically covering it in around two hours. A turboprop such as the Pilatus PC-12 also remains a sensible option for smaller groups, given the modest cruise altitude, generally in the low 40,000s, that a flight this length requires, and given the shorter strips found on some of the surrounding cays. Exuma International Airport handles a steady flow of charter traffic tied to the islands’ reputation for swimming pigs, iguanas and some of the clearest water in the Caribbean, and its general aviation facilities allow for quick, low-stress departures even during peak season. The flight tracks north over the Atlantic before descending into Greater Rochester International Airport, close to downtown and the Genesee River waterfront. Rochester’s long history in precision optics endures at the George Eastman Museum, and the Finger Lakes wine trail offers a pleasant contrast to the Exumas’ famous sandbars for visitors extending their stay. This route primarily serves leisure travellers, boaters and second-home owners drawn to the Exumas’ string of small cays and marine parks, along with hospitality professionals connected to the region’s growing resort development. With scheduled commercial service typically requiring a connection through Nassau or a Florida hub, and frequency to the Exumas often limited outside peak winter months, chartering privately offers a dependable, direct alternative that keeps a trip’s timing entirely in the traveller’s own hands, rather than at the mercy of a thin seasonal schedule.
