Private Jet Grand Geneva Resort to Cavallo

Grand Geneva Resort’s charter connection to Cavallo covers around 4,092 nautical miles, a transatlantic sector well matched to a heavy business jet like the Bombardier Global 6000, departing directly from Grand Geneva Resort Airport in southern Wisconsin. The aircraft’s long cabin and generous baggage capacity suit travellers moving on from a golf or spa break to a longer Mediterranean stay, while a cruise altitude near 45,000 feet helps smooth out the roughly seven and three-quarter hour journey across the Atlantic. The destination, Cavallo, belongs to the Lavezzi archipelago, a cluster of granite islands set within the Bonifacio Strait between Corsica and France’s southern neighbour, Sardinia. Unlike much of the developed Mediterranean coastline, Cavallo has kept its infrastructure deliberately minimal: there is no road network, no marina crowded with day-trippers, and no built-up centre, only footpaths connecting a small number of villas set among wind-bent pines. The water surrounding the island is famously clear, a product of strong currents through the strait that keep sediment from settling, and it draws snorkellers and sailors in equal measure. Cavallo’s reputation for discretion has made it a longstanding favourite of European industrialists and a wider circle of travellers who prefer their holidays free of spectacle. Arriving from the American Midwest, guests exchange rolling Wisconsin countryside for granite outcrops and pine-scented air in a single overnight sector, landing directly on the island’s helistrip rather than facing a ferry connection from the Corsican mainland. The pairing suits travellers seeking an unhurried, low-key Mediterranean escape after time spent on the fairways, rather than a fast-paced multi-stop itinerary.
