Private Jet Gstaad to Tempe

Gstaad and Tempe sit 4,997 nautical miles apart, a sector served on this network by a heavy-class jet such as the Gulfstream G450, which cruises at altitudes up to 45,000 feet and covers the distance in around nine and a quarter hours, its cabin typically split between a forward club section and a rear conference area suited to a full travelling party. Departures run from Gstaad Airport Saanenland, a small alpine field nestled among the Bernese Alps, with onward connections often arranged through Geneva or Zurich for the longest sectors. The G450’s cabin typically seats up to thirteen passengers, with a private aft section for passengers preferring to rest through the nine-and-a-quarter-hour crossing. Arrival at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport brings passengers to Tempe, a city built around Arizona State University and the lakeside paths of Tempe Town Lake. Gstaad’s exclusive ski chalets and Swiss precision give way on landing to the Sonoran Desert’s open skies and saguaro cacti, with the dramatic rock formations of Papago Park visible from much of the valley floor. A number of Gstaad’s seasonal residents maintain a second property in the Phoenix area, moving between the two as ski season gives way to spring, while others are drawn simply by Arizona’s golf courses and the Cactus League’s spring training games, both offering a very different kind of leisure from Gstaad’s own winter sporting calendar. A number of Gstaad’s hospitality groups have also studied Scottsdale’s resort pricing model closely, as several consider bringing a branded property to the American Southwest within the next decade.
