Private Jet Hadibu to Cavallo

Hadibu to Cavallo covers approximately 2,902 nautical miles, a distance that calls for a super mid-size jet such as the Bombardier Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280 flying non-stop, cruising near 43,000 feet for much of the sector where conditions over the Arabian Peninsula and the Mediterranean tend to be most settled. Socotra Airport, serving the remote Yemeni island of Socotra, is the unusual departure point for this route, itself one of the more isolated commercial airfields anywhere on the network, with the routing tracking broadly north-west across the Arabian Peninsula and the Middle East towards southern Europe. Cavallo, the destination, sits within the Lavezzi archipelago off Corsica’s southern coast, a short helicopter transfer from Figari-Sud Corse and within sight of Sardinia across the Bonifacio Strait, with no runway of its own to receive fixed-wing traffic. There is a certain symmetry to this particular route, linking Socotra’s otherworldly, UNESCO-listed landscape with Cavallo’s own carefully preserved granite seclusion, both islands having resisted the pull towards large-scale tourism development that has reshaped so much of the wider region. For travellers making this roughly five-and-a-half-hour crossing, the super mid-size cabin provides the range and comfort the sector demands without the expense of a larger aircraft, connecting two of the more genuinely remote and distinctive island destinations a private jet charter can offer in a single day’s travel. Few charter routes link two destinations quite this remote and distinctive, and the sector has become something of a specialist itinerary among travellers who have already exhausted the more conventional Mediterranean and Indian Ocean circuits.
