Private Jet Hailey to Augusta

Hailey to Augusta covers close to 1,625 nautical miles, a sector suited to a super mid-size jet such as the Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280, both capable of the mountain-airport performance required out of Friedman Memorial Airport, which sits at elevation among the peaks surrounding Sun Valley. Cruise altitudes near 43,000 feet carry the flight east over the Rockies, the Great Plains and the Mississippi valley before a long descent into the Georgia piedmont, a routing that typically takes a little over three hours in favourable winds. The Sun Valley area’s ski and summer resort crowd meets Georgia’s golf tradition on this route, with Augusta drawing particular attention each April, when Augusta National Golf Club stages the Masters Tournament and the surrounding region becomes one of the most closely watched corners of American sport. Outside that window, Augusta offers a quieter, historic Southern character, its downtown set along the Savannah River and its economy increasingly shaped by Augusta University’s medical and research activity, along with the steady presence of Fort Eisenhower’s Cyber Center of Excellence. Idaho-based second-home owners, ski-season residents, and golf enthusiasts alike find this a useful direct link, since reaching Augusta from the Sun Valley area by scheduled service would otherwise mean at least one, and often two, connections through major hubs. Given the popularity of both destinations among second-home owners, this sector also sees a fair share of one-way positioning flights timed around the changing seasons in the Wood River Valley. It remains a dependable niche corridor between two markets otherwise poorly served by commercial connections.
