Private Jet Hayward to Cavallo

At 6,180 nautical miles, Hayward to Cavallo is one of the longest routes on the network, requiring an ultra-long-range jet such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500, with cruise altitudes reaching toward 45,000 to 51,000 feet and a flight time approaching eleven hours. Hayward Executive Airport serves a city in the San Francisco Bay Area, a region defined by its technology industry, and the sheer distance to Cavallo underscores just how far the western Mediterranean’s most private island sits from the American Pacific coast. Cavallo lies at the very end of that long journey, a granite outcrop within the Lavezzi archipelago off Corsica’s southern coast, reached only by helicopter to its dedicated helistrip since the island has no conventional runway. The channel toward Sardinia lies within a protected marine reserve, celebrated for clarity that has long attracted a discreet, international clientele to the island’s handful of restaurants and villas, favouring genuine seclusion over the more visible glamour found elsewhere in the region. Given the exceptional distance, this route is realistically suited only to travellers building a substantial European stay into their itinerary, with careful attention to fuel, crew duty and any technical stop required en route. For Bay Area-based travellers, it represents an ambitious but genuinely rewarding way to reach one of the Mediterranean’s most closely guarded destinations. A technical stop is likely necessary depending on aircraft type, payload and prevailing winds, and operators generally recommend building generous flexibility into the schedule given the scale of the undertaking. Few crossings on the network illustrate the range of modern ultra-long-range aircraft as clearly as this one, linking Silicon Valley’s relentless pace with an island that has built its entire reputation on doing very little at all.
