Private Jet Hayward to Punta Mita

Hayward Executive Airport, tucked into the East Bay south of Oakland, sits about 1,338 nautical miles from Punta Mita, a leg well suited to a Citation CJ4 or, for larger parties, a Challenger 350 offering more room over the roughly two-and-three-quarter-hour flight. The airport’s straightforward general aviation setup and proximity to Silicon Valley make it a convenient starting point for Bay Area travellers who would rather avoid the congestion of San Francisco International or Oakland’s commercial terminals. Arriving into Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport, guests are quickly transferred to Punta Mita’s private beach community, where two Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses trace the coastline and calmer, reef-sheltered waters make for easy swimming compared with California’s cooler Pacific. The nearby surf town of Sayulita offers a livelier day trip, while whale watching boats operate through Banderas Bay from December into the early spring, often spotting humpbacks within sight of the resort beaches. Bay Area executives and families have made this one of the more consistent West Coast routes into Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, prizing the ability to leave after a working morning and still reach the resort in time for an evening swim. The moderate flight time also makes it practical for shorter, three or four-night getaways as well as longer stays, and the jets typically used on this leg carry enough baggage capacity for a full complement of golf clubs and water sports equipment without needing to upsize the aircraft. With Hayward’s uncontrolled congestion and quick FBO service, the total time from arrival at the airport to wheels-up is often shorter than at the region’s larger commercial fields, a detail frequent Bay Area travellers weigh heavily when planning a departure timed around a full working day beforehand.
