Private Jet Ibiza to Alexandria

Ibiza to Alexandria covers roughly 1,469 nautical miles, a distance suited to a mid-size jet such as the Challenger 350, which cruises at altitudes near 45,000 feet for a flight of about three hours. A Gulfstream G280 offers comparable performance for those wanting extra cabin space. Departures leave from Ibiza Airport, the island’s busy gateway and a base well practised in handling private aviation during the peak summer months. From there the aircraft tracks south-east across the Mediterranean before descending into Borg El Arab International Airport, serving Alexandria on Egypt’s northern coast. Travellers leaving Ibiza’s beach clubs and sunset bars behind arrive in a city with an altogether different rhythm, one built on Graeco-Roman foundations rather than nightlife, where the Qaitbay Citadel and the long Corniche promenade offer a quieter, more historically minded introduction to Mediterranean living. This route suits travellers extending an Ibizan summer with an Egyptian coastal chapter, or those based on the island with business or personal interests further east. Given the distance involved, a same-day return is workable for focused visits, sparing the multiple connections a commercial routing via a mainland hub would typically require. Cruising well above the dense summer air traffic that builds over the western and central Mediterranean keeps this crossing notably smooth, and the aircraft’s cabin comfort ensures passengers arrive ready to continue straight into their plans rather than needing time to recover from what would otherwise be a considerably longer and more disjointed journey by scheduled air travel. Alexandria’s Mediterranean climate, milder and less humid than Cairo’s, makes it a popular Egyptian retreat for locals escaping the capital’s summer heat. Given the seasonal demand this corridor can see, booking a reasonable window ahead of the intended travel date is generally advisable.
