Private Jet Kortrijk to Montauk

Kortrijk to Montauk spans roughly 3,059 nautical miles, connecting a Belgian city on the French border with the far end of Long Island. Kortrijk-Wevelgem Airport serves a region historically built on flax and textiles, its medieval centre and Gothic belfry reflecting a long Flemish trading heritage that predates the transatlantic routes flown today. A crossing of this length suits a super mid-size jet, and the Gulfstream G280 or Challenger 350 complete the roughly six-hour flight with a stand-up cabin that keeps passengers comfortable across the full Atlantic crossing. Cruising near 45,000 feet for much of the route keeps the aircraft above the busier North Atlantic tracks and generally produces a smoother ride than lower altitudes allow. On arrival, Montauk Airport places guests close to a working harbour, a historic lighthouse and quiet beaches, a considerable change from Kortrijk’s inland, canal-lined setting. No scheduled airline offers anything close to a direct link between these two points, so a private departure spares travellers a routing through Brussels and a major US gateway, often saving the better part of a day compared with a commercial itinerary. The route suits Belgian business travellers and families with a Hamptons connection, as well as anyone seeking a discreet, efficient way to bridge two relatively low-profile but well-connected communities, avoiding the congestion that builds around both Brussels Airport and JFK during the height of the transatlantic summer travel season. Textile and manufacturing executives based around Kortrijk occasionally combine this crossing with business meetings in New York before continuing on to the Hamptons.
