Private Jet Lake Como to Vancouver

The 4,753 nautical mile passage from Lake Como to Vancouver, Washington links two very different waters: the glacial elegance of Italy’s Lombardy lakes and the tidal reach of the Columbia River in the Pacific Northwest. Departing from Milan Malpensa Airport, a short and scenic drive from Como’s lakeside villas, guests board an ultra-long-range aircraft built for exactly this kind of transatlantic and transpolar undertaking. A Gulfstream G650ER or a Bombardier Global 7500 suits the sector well, each capable of covering the distance without a technical stop and cruising efficiently near 45,000 feet, above the weather systems and commercial traffic that crowd lower altitudes. The G650ER’s cabin, pressurised to a lower equivalent altitude than most competitors, keeps travellers noticeably fresher across the roughly eleven hour crossing, while the Global 7500 answers with an exceptionally quiet cabin and four distinct living zones for rest, dining and work. Vancouver, Washington receives flights at Pearson Field, a compact and historic airfield on the north bank of the Columbia River, directly across from Portland, Oregon and among the oldest continuously operating airports in the United States. The setting rewards arrival: forested bluffs, the volcanic silhouette of Mount Hood on clear days, and a fast run into Portland’s restaurants, galleries and the wine country of the Willamette Valley beyond. For travellers leaving the marble balustrades and formal gardens of Como’s grand villas, the shift to this greener, quieter corner of the Pacific Northwest offers genuine contrast rather than mere distance. The route suits collectors of scenery as much as itineraries, pairing European lakeside grandeur with American river-valley calm, and it holds particular appeal for those extending a European summer into business or leisure time around Portland’s technology and outdoor recreation scene, from riverside cycling trails to the seasonal rhythms of the valley’s harvest.
