Private Jet Luanda to Porto Heli

The 2,833 nautical mile crossing from Luanda to Porto Heli sits well within the comfortable range of a super mid-size jet, and aircraft such as the Bombardier Challenger 350 or Gulfstream G280 are the types most commonly assigned to this sector. Both are capable of cruising at altitudes around 45,000 feet, high enough to sit above most weather systems along the West African and Mediterranean routing, and both carry enough fuel to complete the journey nonstop with healthy reserves rather than requiring an intermediate stop. Cabins on these types are well suited to a flight in the region of five and a half hours, offering a proper galley, a private lavatory and seating that converts for rest, all of which make a meaningful difference on a route of this length. Departure is from Quatro de Fevereiro Luanda International Airport, Angola’s principal international gateway and the standard point of departure for services heading north and east out of the country. On arrival in Greece, aircraft generally land at the small airport serving Porto Heli itself, with Kalamata International Airport available further along the coast as an alternative for larger types or when conditions dictate. Porto Heli sits on the Argolic Gulf in the Peloponnese, a marina town whose sheltered waters and beach clubs have made it a fixture of the Greek summer season, with the car-free island of Hydra a further boat journey along the coast for those wanting a change of pace. The town’s position also makes it a convenient base for exploring Nafplio and its Venetian old town. This sector suits business and leisure travellers alike, offering a direct link between Angola’s capital and the Greek coast without the multiple connections a commercial itinerary between the two would otherwise require.
