Private Jet Mallorca to Koh Samui

Mallorca to Koh Samui is a lengthy 5,362 nautical mile crossing departing Palma de Mallorca Airport, one of the more demanding sectors flown from the Balearics and one that rules out anything short of a genuine ultra-long-range jet. The Gulfstream G650ER and Bombardier Global 7500 both handle the distance in a single leg, cruising up to around 51,000 feet on favourable routings to reduce fuel burn and smooth the ride across a journey spanning the Mediterranean, the Arabian Peninsula and the Bay of Bengal. At just over ten hours in the air, the fully flat sleeping configurations fitted to these aircraft are put to genuine use rather than serving as a nominal feature. Palma’s private aviation terminal, well used to summer traffic across the island, provides an efficient departure before the long transit east begins. Koh Samui, waiting at the other end, could hardly present a greater contrast to Mediterranean island life while still sharing its essential character: a Gulf of Thailand island built around beaches, boat trips and slow evenings, with Chaweng offering the liveliest stretch of coastline and Bophut’s Fisherman’s Village a calmer, more atmospheric alternative after dark. Samui International Airport, developed and still operated by Bangkok Airways, remains notable for its open-air terminals set among coconut palms rather than the enclosed halls typical of larger regional hubs, giving arriving guests an immediate sense of the island’s relaxed pace. Given the distance and flight time involved, this route best suits travellers planning an extended stay, whether centred on diving trips to nearby Koh Tao, wellness retreats, or family time on the island’s calmer southern beaches, with a private cabin making the long transition considerably easier to absorb.
