Private Jet Menorca to Gibraltar

Menorca and Gibraltar lie approximately 504 nautical miles apart, a sector well suited to light and mid-size jets, with the Citation CJ4 offering efficient performance for the crossing and a cruise altitude near 43,000 feet that keeps the ride smooth above the Alboran Sea’s occasionally choppy weather. Departing from Menorca Airport, a straightforward and uncongested field even during peak summer, travellers benefit from swift processing well away from the queues found at busier Balearic airports nearby. Gibraltar, roughly an hour later, offers arriving guests a genuinely distinctive landing experience, its runway crossing directly over the territory’s main road and its approach framed by the dramatic limestone bulk of the Rock itself. Beyond the airport, Gibraltar’s blend of British and Mediterranean culture, its historic tunnels, and its resident population of Barbary macaques give visitors plenty to explore in a destination considerably smaller than most private aviation stops. For travellers moving along the western Mediterranean, whether continuing on to Morocco, Portugal or the Atlantic coast of Spain, this direct sector offers a useful staging point without the detour a commercial routing through the mainland would otherwise require. The short flight time keeps the crossing almost incidental to a broader itinerary, making Gibraltar an easy and increasingly popular addition to a Mediterranean or Iberian circuit built around private aviation’s flexibility. Aircraft positioning between the two territories has grown more common as western Mediterranean charter demand has risen, giving operators added flexibility when arranging this sector at short notice. Weekend availability in high season is still worth securing early.
