Private Jet Mykonos to Antalya

The crossing from Mykonos to Antalya spans only about 261 nautical miles, a swift half hour in the air that links the whitewashed glamour of the Cyclades with the sun drenched coast of southern Turkey. For a sector this short a light jet such as the Embraer Phenom 300 or Cessna Citation CJ4 is well matched, while a very light jet like the Phenom 100 serves smaller parties admirably. These aircraft climb rapidly and cruise comfortably in the low forties of thousands of feet, so the descent begins almost as soon as the level is reached, keeping the passage brief and unhurried. Departures use Mykonos International Airport, the island’s compact single gateway, where private handling spares guests the crowds that fill the terminal in high season. Antalya makes a striking counterpoint to Mykonos. In place of Aegean windmills and cubist villages it offers the palm lined boulevards of a substantial Mediterranean city, the old harbour of Kaleici tucked beneath Roman and Ottoman walls, and easy reach of the classical theatres at Aspendos and Perge. The turquoise bays west of the city and the Taurus foothills beyond give arriving travellers an immediate sense of a coastline built for leisure. This route is tailored to those moving between two of the summer Mediterranean’s most sought after playgrounds, whether island hopping guests extending a Greek holiday eastward or discreet travellers seeking privacy at both ends. The intimate cabin of a light or very light jet suits couples and small groups perfectly, delivering a genuinely private door to door experience across a distance that scarcely warrants anything larger, and doing so with the quiet efficiency the sector rewards throughout the season.
