Private Jet Nursultan to Palawan

Astana, still widely known by its former name Nursultan, is roughly 3,398 nautical miles from Palawan, a sector well suited to a Gulfstream G550 or Global 6000 cruising near 45,000 feet across a flight of about six and a half hours. Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport, the striking terminal serving Kazakhstan’s capital, is the point of departure, a hub increasingly used for onward connections across Asia. Landing at Puerto Princesa International Airport brings travellers into Palawan, a province whose reputation for unspoilt nature has only grown in recent years as international publications repeatedly single it out among the world’s best islands. The city of Puerto Princesa serves mainly as a gateway, with its principal attraction, the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, a short drive north: a UNESCO World Heritage cave system through which an underground river winds for several kilometres, its darkness broken only by the boatman’s lamp picking out limestone formations overhead. Travellers with additional time on the ground tend to press on to El Nido, where the Bacuit archipelago’s dramatic karst islands enclose secluded lagoons, or to Coron, home to some of the finest wreck diving in Asia among sunken WWII vessels. Palawan’s forests, among the least disturbed in the Philippines, also harbour rare endemic species rarely seen elsewhere. Arriving from Astana’s dry, continental steppe climate, passengers encounter a decisively different environment on touchdown, tropical, humid and green, and the moderate flight time makes this a workable single-leg option for travellers seeking a genuine change of scenery without an especially long day of travel.
