Private Jet Portofino to Bakersfield

Portofino to Bakersfield spans approximately 5,257 nautical miles, a crossing that calls for an ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500. Departing Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport, the nearest suitable airport to Portofino’s harbour, the flight typically takes around ten hours, cruising near 45,000 feet for much of the Atlantic and continental United States portion of the journey. Meadows Field Airport receives the flight into Bakersfield on arrival, a city whose economy is grounded in oil and agriculture rather than tourism, offering a calm, efficient gateway into California’s Central Valley for travellers continuing inland toward the Sierra Nevada foothills. Portofino’s status as one of the Mediterranean’s most exclusive yachting destinations draws a steady flow of private travellers each summer, many of whom maintain business or property interests extending across the Atlantic into California. Commercial connections between this stretch of the Italian Riviera and Bakersfield would require multiple changes of aircraft through major European and American hubs, turning a direct overnight charter into a journey spanning well over a day. The ultra-long-range cabin suits this sector well, with flat-bed seating allowing genuine rest across the ten-hour duration and a private, quiet environment that lets passengers arrive in California ready for business rather than depleted from a string of connections through crowded commercial terminals along the way. Seasonal demand on this pairing peaks sharply through the summer yachting season, when the Italian Riviera’s limited local infrastructure makes private routing especially valuable. Genoa’s transfer time to Portofino’s harbour is a factor worth building into any tightly scheduled arrival.
