Private Jet Portofino to Fontana

The Portofino to Fontana route measures approximately 5,275 nautical miles, an ultra-long-range sector of around ten hours that carries travellers from the Ligurian coast to the heart of the Inland Empire. Departures typically use Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport, the nearest suitable gateway to Portofino’s harbour and cliffside villas, from where private terminal handling offers a smooth start to a demanding long-haul crossing. A Gulfstream G650ER suits this mission well, its speed and range built for exactly this kind of transoceanic sector, while a Bombardier Global 7500 offers comparable capability with additional cabin zones that prove useful across ten hours of flying. Cruising at altitudes that can reach the high forties for extended periods, both types clear the weather systems over the North Atlantic and the North American interior with considerable margin. Fontana could hardly present a greater contrast to Portofino’s pastel villas and yacht harbour, its landscape instead dominated by the vast warehousing and fulfilment operations that have replaced the Kaiser Steel plant once at the centre of the city’s economy. Auto Club Speedway continues to bring major racing weekends to the area, while the San Bernardino Mountains offer nearby hiking and skiing. This route particularly suits yacht owners and property investors dividing time between the Italian Riviera and Southern California’s logistics corridor, along with executives combining a Mediterranean holiday with West Coast business. Given the scarcity of practical commercial options on this exact pairing, private charter is often the only realistic way to connect these two destinations without at least one lengthy layover.
