Private Jet Prescott to Hialeah

Prescott Regional Airport, serving the pine-covered highlands of central Arizona, lies 1,747 nautical miles from Hialeah, a sector well suited to a super mid-size jet such as a Gulfstream G280, covering the distance non-stop in around three and a half hours while cruising in the low-to-mid 40,000s. Prescott’s elevation, considerably higher than the desert floor around Phoenix, gives the area a noticeably cooler climate and a growing community of retirees and second-home owners, many of whom split their time between Arizona’s high country and destinations further afield, including South Florida. The flight arrives at Miami International Airport, a short transfer from Hialeah, a Miami-Dade city whose Cuban-American heritage has shaped its commercial and civic character since the early 1960s, giving it a bilingual identity distinct from the resort towns further along the Florida coast. Visitors extending into the wider metropolitan area will find the golf courses around Doral, the shopping and dining at Bayside Marketplace, and the year-round boating culture on Biscayne Bay. Prescott’s own aviation heritage runs deep, home to one of the country’s largest university flight training programmes, and it is not unusual for graduates of that programme to end up flying precisely this kind of long-range business jet sector later in their careers, connecting the high desert where they trained to the tropical coastline where a great many private aviation careers eventually lead. Prescott’s history as Arizona’s first territorial capital has left it with a well-preserved downtown of Victorian architecture, quite unlike anything found in the newer, faster-growing cities further south, and that sense of history gives the town a character all its own among Arizona’s aviation gateways.
