Private Jet Punta Arenas to Cavallo

Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo International Airport, serving Punta Arenas near the tip of Patagonia, offers a starting point for the roughly 7,020 nautical mile journey to Cavallo. Given the distance, an executive airliner or a Bombardier Global 7500 flown under favourable conditions is generally required, with the Global 7500 offering a cabin built for comfort across a flight that can run twelve hours or more, cruising as high as 51,000 feet, while a converted Airbus ACJ or Boeing BBJ remains the more dependable choice whenever a technical stop suits the routing better. Cavallo, within Corsica’s Lavezzi archipelago, has no runway of its own, so the journey concludes via Figari-Sud Corse and a short onward transfer to the island. After a crossing spanning much of two hemispheres, guests find a landscape defined by restraint: no cars, narrow sandy paths connecting private villas, and pink granite framing water of extraordinary clarity, all overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio towards Sardinia. The nearby citadel town of Bonifacio, its buildings stacked along dramatic limestone cliffs above an old harbour, offers an easy change of pace once settled. Coming from Punta Arenas’ wind-scoured, sub-Antarctic setting on the Strait of Magellan, travellers arrive somewhere considerably milder, trading one strait for another altogether gentler in character. This route suits guests undertaking a substantial international itinerary, with the chosen aircraft’s cabin designed to keep such an extensive crossing genuinely comfortable. Given Punta Arenas remote southern location, careful planning around fuel stops and prevailing winds is essential, and experienced operators typically coordinate these details well ahead of the planned departure date.
