Private Jet Punta Arenas to Horseshoe Bay Resort

Punta Arenas to Horseshoe Bay Resort spans approximately 5,231 nautical miles, a distance within reach of an ultra-long-range jet such as the Gulfstream G650ER or Bombardier Global 7500, both able to complete the crossing with minimal or no fuel stop in around ten hours. Departing Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo International Airport, one of the southernmost commercial airports in the world and the gateway to Chilean Patagonia, travellers leave a landscape of glaciers, fjords and the Strait of Magellan for the granite hills and lake scenery surrounding Horseshoe Bay in central Texas. The resort’s own airstrip allows the journey to conclude directly on the property, sparing passengers a further transfer after such a long flight and putting the clubhouse, marina and three golf courses within a short drive of the runway. On a crossing of this length, the Global 7500’s four distinct living areas or the G650ER’s flat-floor cabin and high service ceiling make a genuine difference to how rested travellers feel on arrival. This route serves the small but distinctive community of scientists, expedition operators and business travellers connected to Patagonia’s tourism and research economy, many of whom maintain ties to the United States. With no realistic commercial alternative connecting these two points directly, any scheduled routing would require multiple connections through Santiago and a US gateway city, pushing total travel time well past sixteen hours. A direct charter offers a considerable saving, concluding with arrival straight onto Horseshoe Bay’s own airstrip. Guests arriving from such a remote frontier often remark on how quickly the flight itself becomes a highlight, tracing the length of the Americas before descending into an altogether gentler Hill Country landscape.
