Private Jet Revelstoke to Cavallo

Revelstoke Airport, tucked into the Columbia Mountains of British Columbia, is better known for backcountry skiing than long-haul departures, yet it serves as a capable starting point for the roughly 4,620 nautical mile journey to Cavallo. A heavy business jet handles this distance comfortably; the Gulfstream G550 or Bombardier Global 6000 can complete the routing without a technical stop, cruising at altitudes in the mid-40,000s where the ride is typically smoother and more efficient. Cavallo, part of the Lavezzi archipelago off southern Corsica, has no airstrip of its own, so arrival is via Figari-Sud Corse followed by a short onward transfer to the island. What travellers find there is a landscape shaped by wind and sea: pink granite worn into smooth boulders, narrow sandy paths connecting a handful of private villas, and water so clear it seems to have no depth at all, all looking out across the Strait of Bonifacio. The citadel town of Bonifacio sits nearby, its pastel houses perched along dramatic limestone cliffs above a harbour that has drawn sailors for centuries, and makes for an easy half-day excursion. Coming from the alpine terrain around Revelstoke, guests will notice the total absence of mountains in the conventional sense, replaced instead by low granite islets and open sea light. This route suits those seeking a genuine change of scenery and pace, trading deep snow and forest for warm rock, clear water and the particular calm that Cavallo’s exclusivity affords. The routing typically clears customs efficiently at Figari, and most travellers find the onward transfer to Cavallo takes less time than the drive from downtown Revelstoke to its own small airstrip.
