Private Jet Rome to Akron

Rome and Akron are separated by some 3,999 nautical miles, a sector that calls for an ultra-long-range aircraft such as a Bombardier Global 7500 or Gulfstream G650ER, both capable of covering the distance in a single sitting while cruising at altitudes up to roughly 51,000 feet, above most of the weather that affects the North Atlantic crossing. Departures use Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport, serving a city whose history runs from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum through to the Vatican and the crowds that gather each evening at the Trevi Fountain. Arrival at Akron-Canton Airport brings passengers into a far quieter setting, a Midwestern city whose modern identity was shaped almost entirely by rubber and tyre manufacturing, with Goodyear’s global headquarters still the most visible reminder of that era. Visitors staying beyond a single meeting often head to Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens or the All-American Soap Box Derby at Derby Downs each summer, a distinctly local tradition with no real equivalent in Rome. This route particularly suits diplomats, academics and executives with business ties to both Italy and Ohio’s manufacturing corridor, as well as families bridging a life split between the two. Given the six-hour time difference and the length of the crossing, a full night’s rest in a flat-bed seat makes a genuine difference to the day that follows on arrival. Both aircraft types are regularly used on the longest charters flown out of Rome precisely because they combine the range for a non-stop crossing with a cabin that holds up well over eight hours or more, and the choice between them usually comes down to which is positioned and available rather than any real difference in comfort.
